Description

VERY ADVANCED GNARL FORMULA 1.21 for ULTRA FRACTAL

The files are archived as a .rar file.
To unpack them you need a program like WinRar -> [link]

This formula is written for Ultra Fractal
Unpack the files and place 'refa1_1.ufm' in your folder:
.../Ultra Fractal/Formulas/My Formulas

Place 'Very Adv Gnarl Presets.upr' in the folder:
.../Ultra Fractal/Parameters

That way the presets normally should work well when you open them :)

The formula which this one is based on is called mt-advanced-gnarl and can be found in mt.ufm in your public formula's. It was written by Mark Townsend.

I cut some things out of it, and added a lot of new options to it, to have a lot of tweaking options of your gnarl-fractals.

Since there are so many possibilities with this formula,
it is recommended to save parameters as soon as you see something you like. That way you are sure you will not forget the settings :)

Some tips:
- Try different settings (there are loads of them)
- Try to increase or decrease the iterations. Low iterations for soft and smooth gnarls, higher iterations for sharper en more curly curves.
- Try different outside coloring algorithms. Some of them will show a lot more on your screen than the presets will do
- Try different gradients
- Use layers with slightly different settings
- Just play around and explore. Possibilities are endless :) Some combinations will show beautiful gnarls, others will show nothing or just a mess.

A special thank goes to :icongolubaja: who helped me testing this formula. See *Golubaja's gallery for some examples.

Have fun and enjoy!
If you have questions, just leave me a note or message.
And if you make something nice with it... I would love to see it :)

I used your formula today for my most recent piece! It's such a dense formula, but it does create some incredibly iconic gnarl shapes!
